Default Custom Property Settings

Hy Harley,

I'm using Custom Property Setting for the annotation of the surface finish.

If the company has many designers, I think we can also use it to mark the designers of those parts or assemblies.

1. Add anything in Options - Properties List, Hit add, Ok or Apply.

2. Add or Edit Property Templates.

The title of this dialog is Trim Second Curve, ^_^

We can sharing this setting in the company.

It stores under

C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\IronCAD\IRONCAD\24.0\en-us\PropertyTemplates\NewTemplates\CustomTemplates.xml

In IronCAD2023, they added Import and Export buttons in Default Custom Property Setting.

We can load this property in ICD or CAXA automatically.

CAXA : Setting in the Title block.

I am not sure exactly what you are asking, but IC MECH has a utility called "PRO Active Manager" that might be what you are looking for. Or if you are simply asking if you have multiple of the same part can you add that custom property to all those same parts at once, the answer is yes by using the custom properties and ensuring the parts are linked within the scene.

Yes, it is true, look at the two pages of the manual:

http://ironcad.it/learnICM/en/tools-catalog/proactive-manager/bom-settings/015_proactive_bom_setting/#file-and-customdata-properties

http://ironcad.it/learnICM/en/tools-catalog/proactive-manager/dialog/010_proactive_mgr_dialog_properties/#utility-and-custom-data

but in this case custom data is added to parts/assemblies only when using IC MECH and not when adding a part to the scene.
