Cary OConnor
Someone asked a question that I will post here. Can you open files saved in the Vista version in IRONCAD V11 XP? The answer is not yet, we will be releasing a PU1 for IRONCAD V11 shortly after the Vista upload. Once you install the PU1, you can share files from the Vista version to XP. Thanks Cary

Guest EricFoy
Having lots of fun, here, with the Vista version. I am experiencing new levels of performance never before even conceived of (mostly just due to the fact that this Vista box is the fastest machine I've had). Anyway, as for running Advance Rendering Mode in DirectX, am I missing anything if I opt not to install the rather large aforementioned redistributable, and simply run in OpenGL mode instead? Mike Twining
DirectX in Vista is probably going to be much faster than OpenGL. MS is trying to fortify their monopoly with Vista by neglecting to natively implement OpenGL very well, (where as since DirectX is a MS deal... that of corse works very well). Cary OConnor
I think when Vista was first getting started, the DirectX was the way to go. But now I think most of the OpenGL should be supported and running well. I think the performance is about the same unless you have a specific setup designed for DirectX.
