schizek
Is it possible to create custom embosses for sheet metal use. Preferably to edit the cross section of a standard emboss into the desired shape. What is the easiest way to achieve this. Example: stamping of the chevrolet bow tie symbol into a peice of sheet metal.
tlehnhaeuser
Fast Tip is to create the intellishape on a regular solid model (block) and shell it thru its Intellishape properties with the same wall thickness as your sheet thickness, Apply taper as desired etc.. Then drag the intellishape to a catalog and drag from catalog onto sheet metal part. This should work. It won't unfold, but stamped tools don't anyway. Hope this helps Tom
jsavisalo
Hey Tom, that's a great tip! Solved a problem that's been bothering me a long time. One further tip: when you define the shell in the intellishape level, add also some start offset, so the shell extends thru the sheet metal stock. You might also want to try to add some bevel to "All Intersection Edges" in the intellishape level. Juha
