YEO
When entering the dimension in the 2023 version of CAXA, the hidden line cannot be clicked and the dimension cannot be entered. And there is no problem with POINT TO POINT when entering the dimensions of the solid line, but it is not smooth on LINE TO LINE. There were no such problems in the 2022 version. What do you think? IronKevin
Do you have a sample drawing? Can you make a video to show us?
YEO
LINE TEST.exb This is a SAMPLE file. Select LINE only and enter measurement X Choose LINE TO LINE and enter measurement X. It is a problem because measurements are often made with hidden lines of HOLE. Edited March 7, 2023 by EYEO
Malcolm Crowe
Hi YEO, When you select the "Smart Dimension" tool in the Ribbon Bar of CAXA, check the options in the bottom left of the screen. Ensure that "Base Dim" is selected. See the attached image and video. Please report back whether this was the issue or not. Thanks. YEO
I tested it with base line, but there is a problem. But I think the options in the image below are related, too. If I don't use invoke object capture, I can input the dimension of the hidden line, but if I check invoke object capture, I can't input the dimension of the hidden line. Can you explain about this? ps. I am attaching a 3d file. And can you show me how you are setting the options for the image? Malcolm Crowe
Hi YEO, For your comparison, attached are the settings that we use for Object Snap. Along with exporting our settings, we also take snapshots like this after configuring a new release. YEO
Wow... That's weird. After changing to a different setting of SMART DIMENSION and returning to BASE LINE, suddenly the hidden line is selected well. I think there's something wrong.I don't know. For now, it's been resolved, so I'll keep using it. It must have been hard to understand because I am not good at English, but thank you for helping me. Thank you so much Malcolm. Malcolm Crowe
Thanks for the update. I think your English is very good. Malcolm
Bertrand Kim
Hi Malcolm, Your English isn't too bad either. Hi Yeo, 1. "Base Dim" type of Smart Dimension is handy, but it doesn't provide a perfect solution for me (for example, the quadrant point of the circle to the line, Sometimes I can not dimensioning even simple lines with "Base Dim" type), so I sometimes need to change "Base Dim" to "Linear Dim" type to enter the dimensions. 2. When you uncheck "Invoke Object Capture" option, you can not snap something except views's object. Object means something that is not a view's object. Maybe something is interfering with the snap, it's easier to figure out what the problem is if you post a video of your work. Kim
