ATURNER
Hi, Another question for the experienced.. I have a section view and I am trying to tag parts, however it won't put a tag to a sectioned part for some reason. Can you normally tag items which have been sectioned in CAXA? HDEAR
Yes, I had this problem a while back. I can't recall if it was resolved, or if it was I forgot how to do it
Malcolm Crowe
Hi Alan, This isn't the normal behavior within CAXA DRAFT. Have a look at the attached video to see whether you are doing anything different. ATURNER
Thanks Malcolm. I think it was a self-caused issue. This is my first project in CAXA and I wasn't sure what to expect. I moved the model from the folder it was created in and that was when the issues started. ended up unlinking all the parts in the assembly (gulp) and put the file back where I created it. I was then able to tag parts again in a new section view... go figure? I noted that the Ironcad mechanical database file did not update to the new model file location. Malcolm Crowe
Hi Alan, That makes sense. Thanks for the update. For your interest (and other users), attached is a video demonstrating what happens to Item Numbering when the link to the 3D Scene is broken. The video also demonstrates how to restore the missing link between CAXA and the 3D Scene.
