Hi Jim,
Aussie sections attached for use with the Ironcad Mechanical add-on (It's what we use. No warranties as to its accuracy. Suggest you check over it yourself and confirm.)

Thanks Malcolm,
Great solution. The commercial 'Nitro PDF' writer would not allow multi-file printing from the caxa print tool.
I downloaded PDF24 and it worked out of the box.

Alan.
Finally getting some traction on a real job
Has anyone had any luck printing multiple pdf sheets at once using the caxa print tool?
What PDF program are you using? .. I tried Nitro PDF and also Microsoft PDF
Thanks Malcolm.
I think it was a self-caused issue. This is my first project in CAXA and I wasn't sure what to expect.
I moved the model from the folder it was created in and that was when the issues started. ended up unlinking all the parts in the assembly (gulp) and put the file back where I created it. I was then able to tag parts again in a new section view... go figure? I noted that the Ironcad mechanical database file did not update to the new model file location.

Alan
Hi Malcolm,
Thanks for your video. It really helps to see someone do it.
I had totally the wrong idea about how the merge feature works, and how it is setup in the BOM.
Hi,
Another question for the experienced..
I have a section view and I am trying to tag parts, however it won't put a tag to a sectioned part for some reason. Can you normally tag items which have been sectioned in CAXA?
RE BOM's in CAXA,
Does anyone know if the parts have to be 'linked' to have them merge on the BOM?
I have a parts which were copied, but are coming up as separate parts on the BOM, even though they are identical.

Alan
Hi,
It is usual on engineering drawings to have callouts to details on other sheets. Is is possible to put a detail callout on one layout and then place the detail on another layout in CAXA?

Stupid question.. how can I break out an intellishape from the part I accidentally dropped it onto?
Sometimes I mean to drop the part as a new part, and not have it combine with another part. Short of deleting it and starting again, can I break out intellishapes into new parts?

Alan
