pkx
Hello, 1. How to freely move cross section in 2D Drawing? 2. How can I apply cross section(s) from Scene to 2D drawing? Is this possibile?
Cary OConnor
1. By default, the views have an association or lock on the movement. For a section, it move inline with the section line (perpendicular). Right-click on the view and go to View Alignment and select Break Alignment to have free movement. 2. Yes you can by changing the section to Precise in the Scene. Then it will appear in the drawing. However, the Hatch will not be present. You would need to add that manually using the Hatch tool under the Annotation Ribbon Bar. Note: It may be good to create a configuration of the full model and the section model (Basically the default config would have the section suppressed and the Section Config would have it unsuppressed). This will be easier to control the views. Cary

Cary How do you set 'Precise in the Scene' please? Can it be applied to assemblies of parts or does it have to be one particular part? Thanks Harley

There is an option to change to precise in the pop-up dialog. Best Regards, Cary
