  1. Aspeer, how were you able to get the middle bend done? I have spent countless hours attempting to recreate what you did but I am having no luck. Below I have attached some references to better show what I'm having problems with. Cary, I did find a post from a couple years that shows what I am attempting to make with that second piece. If you remember, how were you able to set up the sheet metal stock to use the miter tool? I'm having issues where every time I attempt to use the miter I receive an error message asking to select the bend shape, even though I am attempting to. this happens every time. I apologize in advance for the mess of attached files and the confusion in my questions. horizontal bend.mp4 miter problem.mp4
  2. Kind of. Its supposed to be a type of handle. we figured an angle cut into the two sections that would touch once the bend down the middle happened but of course wanted to model it before we did any attempts. Thank you for reaching back so quickly! Since we're already on the topic of bend lines, I have another sheet metal design that we cant seem to figure out either. On this one, the top line goes up 90° the bottom line goes down 90° as well as the two middle lines. It ends up forming an open ended box with a mounting flange on the back and tabs on the front. I can only seem to get either both the top and bottom bends or the sides.
  3. Hello! & Thanks in advance. This might be one of those questions with a simple answer but I'm probably over looking something simple. I have a project I am working on where I need to cross over some bend lines but I just cant seem to get it right. Both bend lines on the left need to fold up 90° as well as the centerline. Does anyone know of a way to achieve this? I thought the miter tool would help but I am having no luck with it.
  4. Thank you for the feedback! I think I may have figured it out, I ended up having to sketch both ends of the pipe then draw a center line to be able to use the loft feature. From there I think I should be able to draw the gusset up and use the slit tool to leave the cut in the material? I've yet to try the last step out unfortunately.
  5. Thank you for reaching back as fast as you did. I attached the print below, I apologizing for everything being blacked out, it's my employer's wishes. The dimensions of the gusset are there as well as a marking I crudely threw on there to help visualize. What we do is get a 2.375" pipe then split it down the middle on both sides with the table saw, after that we pry both sides to be able to insert & weld the triangular gusset. What this does is widen the O.D of one end and make it more of a "slot" shape to better fit the base it gets welded to. GUSSET HELP.pdf
  6. Hello! Im having to draw up a 2.375 OD pipe with a 1" 5/16 triangular gusset to widen one end up while still maintaining the original OD. Does anyone know how to do something like this?
