  1. You can use this free plug in to Firefox, then you can view ALL websites that works with IE: https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/morei...umpg=10&id=1419 The plug in installs a new button in Firefox. Clicking on that button will change the active web site to be viewed in IE, but still you are in Firefox. So all bookmarks and everything still works. This is a must have, for Firefox users. Have a simple link on your webpage for users with Firefox browsers.
  2. Sure! I dont know any modeller that can import HSF files, but to be sure, read this: http://www.ironcad.com/support/community/i...1&hl=modelpress
  3. If you want to publish 3D info about your products on a webpage, this sample can help. From IronCAD / Inovate, File/ Export a .HSF file. Then edit a HTML page and insert the source code you see below. Then users can go to you webpage and rotate your 3D models directly from inside Internet Explorer. First time they have to accept to install a small plugin. Its a one button clock process. The users can rotate the model with realtime shadowing. Right click for the menu. HSF modells are very compact. Sample files are attatched as ZIP Simply UN zip and dbl click on the HTML file. First time you have to be connected to the Internet to install the plug in. Good to combine with 2D drawings in PDF formats. Structure_HSF_and_HTML.zip
  4. David, CTRL will not replace the target part if the dragged object is a Intellishape. It will if the catalog object is a part. You can drag out your Intellishape to the scene, not hitting any other part. Then select it as a part and drag it back in. Now you can use CTRL drop, to replace, if that is what you want to do.
  5. Christian, Mike is right here, make sure you select the BOM template as a template when you insert it. Se attatched image Also, you can RE-order rows with drag and drop. Drag in the first cell in the row and drop it. Like in Excel.

  7. CTRL-E is a great tip! Could be useful for instance when you want to select edges for blending/ chamfering, when the edges are hidden. With hidden edges visable, you can click on them "trough" the solid. (yes, Im to lacy to turn the camera around to the other side...) Select the part, and then press CTRL E Or select a assembly, and then press CTRL E You have to have scene properties set to "Show part edges" ) (thats standard) to make this work. -RM the scene background, Rendering, for more info.
  8. Say you have a part with many features (Intellishapes) and you for some reason want to combine the part, you can then Supress those features. And then execute the Combine command. All supressed features will still be there, ready to be UN-supressed.

  15. Some tips in this important issue: -In AutoCAD there is a variable called DIMLFAC You can change that from inside AutoCAD. Type it at the prompt. -In AutoCAD there is a property-painter thats is really helpful. -You can create your own .ICD templates with customized layers, styles and colors to fit you target AutoCAD system. AutoCAD and its different applications is very dependant on the layerstucture in the DWGs.
  16. In addition to that, you can edit an existing catalog parts anchor orientation: -Right mouse the parts ikon in the catalog and select "Edit Catalog Item" IronCAD now open up the object "under the ikon" Now click on the anchor point so it turns yellow (indicates that it is selected) Activate the Triball (F10) and turn the orientation as you prefer.
