Hi! We have a customer who use a cad program called PDMS. Is there anyone who knows the best export format between IronCad PDMS? They cannot import step and he told me to try .dwg 3D, but it is not included in Ironcad. Any other suggestions? Anders

I used Kaspersky about 3 years ago but it didn't work together with AutoCAD so we had to change antivirus (things can have changed since then). Since that we have Symantec and it works OK, but the computers slow down. The last year I have used the antivirus program NOD32 www.eset.com on my home computer and I'm impressed about it, because it has fast updates and it only needs a small amount of memory. The computer really became faster! Now I am planning to buy NOD32 the office. Is there anyone who have experiance with NOD 32 together with IronCad? Anders

Yes! I noticed it now, when I installed IC on a computer with Logitech mouse driver installed. On my own computer I use Logitech keyboard and mouse without Logitech's drivers and I don't miss any special functions, and IC works fine! Anders

Thanks IronKevin for quick support! The msiexec… did not work, but Microsoft Installer Clean Up utility did. Then I used Microsoft’s regclean a few times. Now the first drawing is done in IronCAD 9.0. Anders

I have problem with unistalling Ironcad 8. Since before I have a little conflict between Algor Designcheck and Autocad so when I had uninstalled Ironcad 8, Iron PRO and Algor my Autocad didn’t work. I used the Windows System Restore so I got the uninstalled programs back. And then my Autocad works as before. Unfortunately Ironcad doesn’t work at all anymore. I have tried different restore dates but now I cannot start, install or uninstall Ironcad 8. It is totally locked! And I cannot install Ironcad 9 because the installer tries to uninstall IC8 without succeed. The problem seems to be something with Windows Installer, see screenshots. In the log I can read some files are missing in the Ironcad directories. I have tried to copy some files from other computers but there is a new file missing every time I start Ironcad. I have tried to restart the Windows Installer too. Any suggestions how to go further? Thanks, Anders

Does anyone know how to get an excentric cone in sheetmetal so I can get it unfolded? Otherwise: Any formula to calculate it? / Anders

Yes, where is the PU1 we all are waiting for? First: "There will be a product update release in late October (or early november)." Then: "Scheduled to release at the end of November timeframe." What will come first? Santa or PU1? / Anders

I have not yet upgraded to 8.0. Are there any product upgrades that you plan in the nearly future? Because of some customizations I usually wait some months before installing the new release. Anders

I use the curved stock too, and miss the standard function of holes. Curved stock is easier to use on large radius stocks than bends. Isn't it time to improve the sheetmetal module overall? The functions aren't as good/easy as they are in normal shapes. Anders

Hello! I am going to buy a new computer and I have got an offer on one with Quadro FX 330, 64 MB pci-express. In charts on PNY's homepage the card has an application performance in Pro E-02 and UGS-03 which is twice as much as the best Quadro FX 4000 AGP card. Is it really much faster than all the AGP-cards, which is much more expensive? And it has less memory size? Is it right or have I misunderstood something? I am not sure if the 330 card will perform enough. I need a card for entry level or mid range. Chris or anyone else, could you help me? Do you have any experiance whith pci-express cards yet?
