cborer
Here's a Tutorial How to add a surface on a complex solid, by 3d curves. ...by keeping in and outside surface definition and by keeping all edges smooth. I started to like the untrim surface tool, which works fantastic in this case. Of coarse for unfoldable surfaces I will have to create the little freeform surfaces new later, but the sample shows how to get the outlines. Enjoy Carlo PS you need 7zip to unzip Add_surface_to_Solid.7z Part_2.7z
Jonas@Solidmakarna
Nice tutorial! Great job there! I've been working some with surfaces, this showed it all very well. ps. amazing how 7z makes the 100MB+ file go down to just a couple of megs... cborer
Thanks Jonas Yeah 7z is amazing! PS Meanwhile I found that one part is even faster with the match surface tool (instead of - boolean) In general there are several ways to do the job.
