djohannesen
I need to model a bund with a 1° slope on the floor. I created the bund, then created a 1° cone. Made the cone a negative, then subtracted it from the bund floor. Now, I can't smart dimension to the bund whether on the bund only, or, from another part to the bund. I can dimension other parts on themselves, or to other parts. When trying to dimension, faces etc. highlight, & a dimension is often started, but from what appears to be the scene centre point. Using V8.0. File attached for checking. Regards, Davo Bio_filterExt.ics
dsulli555357
If the "bund" is the red box-like object, then I have no trouble dimensioning to it, either from its own geometry or from the gray block behind it. Have you tried rebooting? Dave
djohannesen
Thanks for your reply. It's odd - I kept working & any existing files opened & worked with OK. This file, no go. Shut down Ironcad, didn't reboot computer or anything, opened it again - all OK. Regards, Davo
