wfincher
Can someone give me a brief lesson in finding the center of gravity of a part. I know to go to tools then analysis and get the location but I guess I don't understand the coordinate system. Bill Fincher
Chris Lohman
With IronCAD you can measure from the Global Coordinate or the Local Coordinate to find the CG. The global coord is 0,0,0, and the local 0 is wherever your anchor for the part or assembly is. If you wanted to measure from a particular point on a part or assembly, you move the anchor from that part or assy to the desired point and then you can reference 0,0,0 from there.
