HDEAR
Hi Cary/Kevin/all Is there keyboard shortcut already loaded into CAXA to automatically bring up the dimension tool? I gather once selected, then I just press S, B, A etc to select the type - correct? I'm so used to using the command on the ribbon bar, but that is obviously slower than a KBS
Bertrand Kim
Hi Harley, Those under bars are shortcuts for only that dialog. We can use those shortcuts after only the dialog opened(by click down arrow). My KBs D = Dimension DB = Dim Baseline DC = Dim Continuos DD = Dim Diameter DR = Dim Radius DA = Dim Angle It is easy to remember Cheers
Cary OConnor
D will start the dimension command in CAXA Draft. Then you can use the Instant Toobar to select the type.

D not bringing up dimension command.mp4
IronKevin
I have to hit D and press Enter.
HDEAR
Aha! Go through the hegde, and climb over the gate - for the shortcut Thanks Kevin. It would be nice if just a simple D key would provide that. In terms of setting my own shortcut, I cannot assign D by itself. The only acceptable shortcut is Shift-D, but that's just a slightly thicker hedge, no gate climb necessary so I can live with that. HDEAR
Thanks Dariusz, I have that setting too . . However, if you watch my video, you'll see that when I press D - there's no reaction apart from the letter D being typed in the command line and that's about as useful as winning a bonus track on a Yoko Ono album To have 'D' work correctly and engage the Dimension tool, I also have to press enter as Kevin has shown. Hi Harley, These need pressing enter after type These need don't need pressing enter Option1 : Easy way If you dont use Space bar as snap mode, you can uncheck this option so you can use Space bar as Enter Option2 : March of hardship The way to set dimension with only "D" key without additional Enter or Space 1. Go to [Cusmomize] - [Keyboard] 2. Assign "Dimension" to Shift+D or Ctrl+D or Alt+D 3. Close IronCAD 4. Go to AppData\Local\CAXA\CAXA CAD CXIC-INT-IRONCAD 2022 (x64)\22.0\ID_DFT_TMPL-ID_DFT_TMPL_DEFAULT_ENV.acc 5. Find <Key>4400</Key> (D) 6. Change letters between <Ctrl>??</Ctrl> to <Ctrl>01</Ctrl) like below picture 7. Save and Done *Important* Remember that if you set it, you will never use command start with "D" ex) Damn, Dead, Dry Option3 : A workaround about Option2 Use Shift+D or Ctrl+D for Dimension /Note/ <Ctrl>01</Ctrl> Ctrl 01 is [Raw key input] Ctrl 05 is [with Shift] Ctrl 09 is [with Ctrl] Ctrl 11 is [with Alt] Ctrl 0d is [with Ctrl+Shift] Kim Edited October 29, 2022 by Bertrand Kim
