Hi Cary, what commands can I pick?

I couldn't pick anything and ESC key was not working,,,,So I couldn't do anything until I forcibly shut down IronCAD.

I checked it in 2022#PU1#SP1#HF1 and 2022#PU1#SP1(other PC)

Not sure why that is not launching the web browser or local help. You can change to the local help in the Tools/Options and see if it launches the local version.

No, it also does not launch the local version, I will try reinstall IronCAD later

Thank you

Does it launch if you just hit F1?

Yes, sure.

I think my UI file is trouble again. It seems like IronCAD putting a layer on itself for context help.

I'd really appreciate it if someone could share 2022#PU1#SP1#HF1 UI xml files that free of this issue for the cross check, because I don't have time to reinstall IronCAD to test it. I forgot backup them...

Anyways, it would be good Context help tool allows exit by ESC key for prevent losing someone's work who has same UI issue like me.

If you go to:

%appdata%\IronCAD\IRONCAD\24.0\en-us\Customization

And delete those XML's (make sure IronCAD is closed first), it will reset that directory on start and close of IronCAD the next time you run by using the default supplied XML files from IronCAD (that are in the Program Files directory). If that doesn't change it, then it may not be the UI XML's causing the issue. Which we can try to reset the Tools/Options files.

  • 1 year later...

Is it only me who can not escape from Shift+F1 IronCAD2022&IronCAD2023&IronCAD2024 with Win11 pro,

My home system can escape from Shift+F1 with Win10 home.
