LEE MENG CHE Posted June 9, 2022 Share Posted June 9, 2022 Hi all I found an interesting video on Youtube that about flexible hose issue , I tried to do the same thing with IronCAD , the video grnerally describes that it use the Spine to create a flexible hose and it can move the port direction , the flexible hose will follow the port extend automaticlly by Spine. GNÄSLUND Posted June 9, 2022 Share Posted June 9, 2022 I create hydraulic hoses in a similar way. First position each end coupling on the desired spot. Then start a new part and draw a 3D-curve. First a short straight line from each coupling Then a spline between them with the tangent option. GNÄSLUND Posted June 9, 2022 Share Posted June 9, 2022 An improvement that I would like is the ability to move the endpoints of the 3d curve while maintaining tangency to the spline. GNÄSLUND Posted June 9, 2022 Share Posted June 9, 2022 IRONCAD_Lofted_hose.mp4 A structured part with a loft gives a good approximation of a hose. The benefit is that it auto-updates when moved. The main drawback is that the length is not easily measured. Important to use ACIS when doing these kind of lofts. I tried to use structured part first , but it's not worked , can you check it for me? In fact , I want to use innovative part to do this , could you mind teach me how you create flexible hose with innovative parts mode. The attached video is the difficult that I meet .
