3D Curve - "Create Smoothly Connected Curves" is missing in IC2022

We (and another user we know) are still having to use IC2021 because of this loss of functionality in IC2022 (which hasn't been addressed in SP1).

During Beta Testing on 28th September I also posted the following bug: "3D Curve - Fillet Doesn't Remain Tangent to Original Curves".

Both of these issues are important to us, and remain an irritation having been lost in IC2022. Are these still being addressed?

Hi Malcolm,

In the SP1, there are two fillet types. dynamic fillet and fillet/chamfer. The dynamic fillet is the old fillet tool and behavior. The fillet/chamfer tool is the new one which will still have the alignment issues. Have you tried to use the dynamic fillet? It should have the old behavior and should remain tangent.

If you do not see that tool, you will need to clear the XML files.

Thanks for the reply Kevin. The ability to create tangent 3D Curves isn't just a "nice to have", but is a "must have". So when that was lost with the changes in IC2022 it was a critical tool that was lost for users who need to work with 3D Curves. I have an IRONCAD client (on software subscription) who hasn't been able to upgrade from 2021 PU1, because all of their boat hull designs involve tangent 3D Curves within the construction of their models. Restoring this functionality needs to be a high priority. So hotfix please.

Yes we understand. There is work on the 3D Curve still in development. For example: Adding constraints to drive the curves is in the works. This tangency is more likely to come from that work versus the old method. We will talk to the team to see if it can be a hotfix or not based on the development they are taking.
