Malcolm Crowe
If you're familiar with working with "Structured Part" mode then you will be familiar with the need to "Set As Active" that Part before adding any Shapes to the Part. However this ability to "Set As Active" can also be used with "Innovative Part" mode. This come in handy when you want to drag-and-drop Shapes from a Catalog onto the same Reference Plane, rather than not dropping onto an existing Shape within a Part. In the attached video a new part is created by dropping 3 Shapes from a Catalog onto the same reference XY Plane (where I wanted the sketches within each Shape to be on that Reference Plane). Normally IRONCAD would create a new Part for the second and third Shapes (as they weren't dropped onto an existing Shape), but because the Part is "Set As Active", IRONCAD knows that I want the Shapes to be included within that Active Part. When done, right click on the Active Part and select "Deactivate All". Cary OConnor
It is useful for that purpose as well. Often I forget about that but it does save time if you need it for a process like that. Thanks for the reminder!
