Ironcad drawing size too large

I think it would depend on the size of the model and what type of views you drop so it's hard to tell without an example drawing.

Shaded views and Section views can make the drawing large. Section views require use to keep another body to represent the section. Shaded views have to load the raster images. Other than that, others that may cause it are configurations or alternate view types (making use of configurations).

Hi Venkat,

These are VERY large files that you are working with.

1. Does your large Scene file contain all of your parts as a single file? That is, without any externally linked part files.

2. Does your large Drawing file contain many Sheets documenting all of the parts within the Scene file? Also, how many Sheets are in your drawing?

Keep in mind that his comma is in a different place due to the format. The drawings are not 7 Gig, but rather under one gig. They are still very large though.

It looks like it ticks all the boxes mentioned by Cary earlier. Shaded views, Views made from multiple configurations, etc. I am still a bit surprised by how large the file is though.
