SSIMMONS Posted May 20, 2021 Share Posted May 20, 2021 Besides making an assembly (which essentially acts as one part and can be set to "prevent selection below..."), the Boolean operation is the easiest (so far as it is not sheet metal because this will not work) as Cary suggested. It really just depends what you are trying to do specifically because as Cary mentioned, there are a ton of ways. I attached a video as reference, but I would never build a part this way...it just seemed like a good example where a 2D sketch was made and then extruded. 3D shapes 2D cross section edits are much faster in my opinion.
