Hait
Hi everyone, I've just used Ironcad for a week. I have a problem with inserting pdf file as object into CAXA. Anyone has any ideas with this problem, please show the way to do. I used AutoCad before, it helps me a lot. Insert pdf and scale to exactly dimension in order to calculate pipe lengths. Thank you. Cary OConnor
One way is to use the Menu->Edit-.Insert Object command. Select create from file and browse to the selected PDF. This will insert the PDF as an object in the file. But it is really meant for just a visual reference. Is that what you are looking for? Hait
Thank you Cary OConnor for your quick response. I want to convert PDF drawing into an editable vector DWG. Autocad can do it very well.
Malcolm Crowe
CAXA doesn't have that raster to vector conversion capability. We use BRICSCAD (which is an alternative to AUTOCAD), which has that raster to vector conversion capabilities that you're asking about. However, in the past I have also used INKSCAPE (which is free Open Source Software) to do the conversion before opening in CAXA.
