Malcolm Crowe
CAXA has the option available to export the Bill of Materials (BOM) to an Excel spreadsheet (note that MS Excel needs to be installed on the computer). This is useful on large assemblies when you need to show the extracted information in a different way (such as using sorting and filtering), or if you need to add expressions that aren't possible within the BOM itself. A key feature of this export function is that it will export all attributes (columns) within the BOM "Style", whether they are displayed in the BOM or not. When you don't what an attribute (column) to be displayed, then all you need to do is set the "Cell Width" of that attribute to "0" (zero). The benefit is that you can display fewer attributes in the BOM of the drawing, compared to what is exported.
