BOM Unit Value and Total Value Columns (CAXA)

Within CAXA Bill of Materials (BOMs), there is the option to display both "Unit Value" and "Total Value" columns of a nominated part property. The tool that provides this option is designed for calculating the Total Weight, but it can be used for other properties as well (length, volume, custom properties, etc...). In the attached example I have chosen to use this function for calculating the Total Costs.

The Unit Cost is extracted from a custom property in the 3D model of the part (named Unit Cost), by mapping this property to the Unit Cost attribute in the BOM (using BOM Update). Within the "Fill in BOM" dialog box, the "Configure Total (Weight)" tool is used to populate the "Total Weight" values.

As the part quantities vary in the 3D scene, the quantities (Qty) shown in the BOM will vary also, along with the calculated Total Costs.
