Linking Part measurements

Hello everyone,

I'm wondering if IronCAD has a certian function.

The function I'm looking for is to link part measurements together, let me explain what I mean:

If I were to draw a wardrobe which is 2000mm x 1000mm. And put drawers inside. The drawers get a fixed measurement set by the wardrobe due to the drawerslides.

Is there a function which allows me to change the size of the wardrobe, that would then also update the drawer measurements to fit the wardrobe?

What I'm basically looking for is a function which allows me to change the size of the wardrobe which then automatically changes the internal dimensions.

Greetings,

MB-Furniture

Hi, have you ever heard of woodLAB, the add-on for furniture makers on IronCAD ? Just go to http://www.woodlab.eu or watch first our video's http://youtube.en.woodlab.eu/  Our cabinets are fully parametric, dropped drawersare automatically set to size according the internal cabinet space etc. CNC programs are automatically generated for your machine as well as cutting list.

Hi MB Furniture,

You can can easily do something like this. IronCAD has the ability to make a model that can be adjust and follow defined rules to input the sizes and constraints automatically in a  model. This video of a packaging solution, is doing just what you need. It was made for NEFAB in the Australia. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQxs5Ri2XSU Not sure who sold you IronCAD but they should be able to explain this to you. If you don't a good response back, then please give me a call and I can talk this through with you. I can also offer consultancy service to make the first model for you, so that you can then make other models once you have learnt this. You can contact me - Bob @ Athena Horizons Ltd. https://athena-horizons.co.uk Also Marc from WoodLab has complete solution that might suit your needs better and I can help you with this by introducing you both together.
