Eric Foy
Is there any way to get in and fiddle with the inner workings of the Tools Catalog stuff? For instance, I would like to change some of the Fasteners to make them generate slightly different shaped heads of bolts...?
IronKevin
The only ones that can be edited are the Cold and Hot formed Steel items. Their data files are here: C:\Program Files\IronCAD\2016\AppData\en-us\Steelbars
IronKevin
OK, we found from the archives a way to change the basic sizes of the fasteners. Unzip the attached zip file to: C:\Program Files\IronCAD\2016\AppData\en-us\FastenerData Edit the text files to change your sizes, for example: Edit C:\Program Files\IronCAD\2016\AppData\en-us\FastenerData\ANSI_English\Bolts\Hex_Standard.txt to edit the standard hex head bolt. rsaucier
Kevin, I do not see that folder. Do I need to create the "FastenerData" folder manually and then place the files in there? Please advise. RJ
Mike Hatch
I don't see that folder either - C:\Program Files\IronCAD\2016\AppData\en-us\FastenerData\ANSI_English\Bolts\ however it does exist within the file - FastenerData.zip Do the files need extracting to a "FastenerData" folder and edited or should they be edited and kept witin the zip file. IronKevin
You need to crate the C:\Program Files\IronCAD\2016\AppData\en-us\FastenerData folder.
