IC2016 - trouble getting scene items into .icd

Is anyone else having trouble getting the views that you select from the scene when in .icd to actually show up on the drawing sheet?

 

OK - forget this. Joseph suggested there was a regsitry bug, I removed IC2016 and re-installed - it seems to have fixed the problem.

I'm having the same problem on a fresh install on my laptop.

I'm on the road and can't re-install.

Any suggestions?

Hi Svan. This will be a tough call and I assume you have installed IC2016 via a disc. If it was installed via a product download and kept in download, you may run Modify and select repair. In most cases a download installer may also be corrupted by spikes or noise on the connection during download process itself, thus creating a bad installer.

 

Try to download the free version CCleaner from Piriform to fix any registry issues and sometimes it does get it fixed.

 

Another way is try to run system restore point from a date before the you have noticed this problem. So there should a restored point just after you had IC2016 installed and succeeding restore points such as maintenance, updates.

 

If this occurred right after the fresh install, the installation process didn't work properly due to other hdd activities going on by the system, anti-virus or a fragmented drive. Please inform tech support about your situation also. regards - joseph

Per IC phone support: Run IC as Administrator once.

 

Problem solved.
