  1. I was reading this, not realizing the OP was so long ago. I agree that IC has it's issues, but as far as customer support, it must have been very different back then. I have been a user since 2017 and have been extremely satisfied with the quick responses from Cary, RJ, Kevin, and the rest of the team at IC. Keep up the good work and we will keep complaining per usual hahahaha. The community is extremely responsive also, though having a dozen or so more active member couldn't hurt. Cheers. -Spencer
  2. No worries, I didn't read it that way haha. Interesting, I have never noticed that cut tool before.
  3. Good Afternoon Harley, I was just answering his/her question more or less. I would never use trim in these circumstances, but I do use it during more complex operations where a hole block or cylinder wont help me (this usually comes down to complex chute systems where multiple flat plates are meeting at various angles). So I agree with what you are saying entirely for sure. You can even parametrically locate a hole cylinder so it will stay where you want it based on a point of interest. Most of the time I use a trim it is to determine a base point and then I replace with hole block and delete trim operation (hard to explain without a long video). -Spencer Edit: On second glance you are not talking about a hole cylinder at all are you? I am not familiar with the "Cut" feature. Why not use a hole cylinder? Unless I'm mistaken of course, I might be overthinking this one
  4. So that is likely a display issue and not the reality of the part. Run the "recreate display" function (shown in the snip below) and my bet would be that everything fixes. I literally have this bound to my mouse because I use it so often. Hope this helps. -Spencer
  5. Good Morning Gigi, of course you can remove a trim, I agree that would be awful if you couldn't. See attached video. (Please forgive the horrible method I used to make this box, it was rushed). -Spencer 2022-09-28 10-56-32.mp4
  6. Have you changed monitors lately? It almost looks like your view resolution is off (based on the large check and "x" on the bottom right). Though is likely is just a bug and the fresh install above would work in that case. -Spencer
  7. Wait, are you talking about in a drawing or in 3D space for reference? In a drawing you should be able to just measure it. And if a drawing is what your talking about, what software? icd or CAXA? As you can see in the video below, the section tool in 3D space will not allow it, but it will in 2D space. A simple hole block will do the trick though. -Spencer 2022-09-26 09-50-24.mp4
  8. I would likely just do some old school math. Determine box wall thickness, multiply by two, subtract from overall extents of box. Done. -Spencer
  9. Well, I believe this is how you do it, but it seems to be bugged out on this release. 2022-08-29 09-02-31.mp4
  10. Like this you mean? 2022-08-26 13-32-20.mp4 Ohhh, with eternally linked...my bad
  11. I do know this is very easy to do in ICD if that hleps.
  12. I think you cannot resize because the text is industry standard size. It would mess with format if you were to resize. I may be wrong, but thats what I always thought.
  13. Very Nice, I have been wondering how that worked for a while now.
  14. We do this all the time! Very helpful for all sorts of applications, we love tricking IronCAD into doing things it doesn't want to. -Spencer
  15. PU1 = Product Update 1. Must have this for further update (SP1) to work
  16. That is actually a great score. My work computer gets about 6K and my laptop gets 9900. My home computer gets around 4k and its no slouch. You shouldn't be getting any performance issues at all.
  17. Very good point. Thanks for bringing that up. -Spencer
  18. You can also just use the 3D text utility. Edit cross section, copy, drop hole block, edit cross section, paste. Then you are done. -Spencer 2022-07-14 15-59-54.mp4
  19. Ohhh, I see what you mean. Why is that value even able to be interacted with? It seems like you should be able to just click through it to grab the handle. Is this a setting I can change? Thanks. -Spencer
  20. Yeah, that is what I have been doing. Click and release then click drag, but it's just an extra click every time and I am doing this about 700 times a day (literally) on my current task. I have never had this issue before so I don't know why it is happening now. -Spencer
  21. Is this intentional? It's been happening a lot to me and if it is a feature, how do I turn it off? 2022-07-06 13-48-11.mp4
  22. 2022-06-30 10-27-11.mp4 Could you be clicking this edge by accident, through the top face?
  23. Looks like a localized issue 2022-06-30 10-25-05.mp4
  24. Like this? -Note: These are parameter controlled. In the video I am using the handles, but in the snip below you can see that parameters are there for editing also. 2022-06-28 10-30-04.mkv-Spencer
