  1. I have noticed a reset of my .ucx file settings once in a while, but it is fairly rare. May this has happened to you? I have a purple triball and other custom color properties so it is easy for me to tell when it happens. It's a long shot, but maybe try loading your user settings again. - Spencer
  2. Turn hidden layer off? I may be way oversimplifying your question, but I am not sure how else to interpret it. -Spencer 2021-05-14 11-53-45.mp4
  3. Haha the great Jean Luc. I didnt know that. I have an "orientation cube" that I orient things to that I made as a catalog item. Now I know ha.
  4. Maybe if all of us call them they will reconsider haha oh well
  5. You mean these features? 2021-05-11 09-10-47.mp4
  6. Is it available in the USA? I am a sierra nevanda pale ale go to, but it is always nice to try some new ones that are good (most are not these days because everyone and their sister is brewing up beer and slapping a label on it).
  7. Depending on the fastener it opens to a thread value that is not the first in the list in most cases. Example video attached. - Spencer 2021-05-04 10-47-47.mp4
  8. Cary, I thought it was, but I cant find it. I will make a different post in Bug section. - Spencer
  9. Will this also be addressing the BOM being blank and moving on DWG export issue? It works, but you have to often (a majority of the time) do it twice before it will display correctly. Thanks. - Spencer
  10. Good Morning All, Is there a way to change the default selection for thread count on fasteners? I use 1/2"-13 UNC a lot and for some reason it defaults to 1/2"-12 UNC, which is not nearly as common or even very very uncommon to non-existent. Thanks. - Spencer
  11. Just to throw this out there, Sometimes if you are coping tubes, cutting tubes, etc. the trim function will speed this up quite a bit. This is especially useful for round handrail. - Spencer
  12. Kevin, I got more threads than I know what to do with now. Thanks a lot...also wow on that response time. - Spencer
  13. I already replaced the catalog item with the original also and that didn't work. - Spencer 2021-04-29 10-26-27.mp4
  14. Good Morning everyone, This is one of those things where it may be an obvious answer I am trying too hard to find, but here we go: In the Line Ends tab on the properties menu the line ends can be changed (how I have and currently do this). There is also the quick drop down called "End Symbol" that only shows and "Arrow" and a "None" options. How do customize this list so I don't have to go to properties, line ends tab, drop down, select, okay every single time. Thanks. - Spencer
  15. Oh, my bad. I thought you meant in the real world could you do that easily during manufacturing. I was in the wrong head space on that one. Yeah, lofting will do all that good stuff. You can even sweep the profile if you want to. I do this with edge seals fairly regularly. I tend to think...can it be done in the real world...then I go on modeling it. Just a work flow thing because early in my career I made a few parts that were very outside the box that couldn't be easily manufactured and it came back to bite me. -Spencer
  16. Maybe it has something to do with the file extension matching that of an icalendar file? I know mine used to show the wrong thumbnail for my .ics files because it thought it was a different type of file, but it never gave me any issue with finding the files through search options or anything like that.
  17. I have traveled this road before. So in short, yes you can bend an angle iron, but it depends what configuration. Members are often rolled also to achieve odd shapes and connections. Can I see what you are working with (even a pencil sketch will do)? Keep in mind that angles can be created by bending sheet metal also, which is often a more versatile way to get a weird geometry to work. Laser cut plates open up a lot of possibilities when combined with a little seam welding. - Spencer
  18. Oh man, I haven't seem that hand diagram since college haha, nice throwback.
  19. I haven't used these features because I tend to stick to the non ICMECH version of fasteners. But I did just look at them both for a second and one seems to be individual components (a singular fastener) and the other seems to be a full fastener assembly (Fastener Assembly). As far as the holes moving with the bolts, I do know of a way to do this, but I don't think it is a good practice so I will have someone else chime in on that one. - Spencer
  20. Cheeseburger inappropriate! Gotta watch some George Motz regional burgers. Nice work on the printing quality. - Spencer
  21. These are the print setting we are using here (Sam and I).
  22. Yes, it is a bug in the internal exporter in IC. If you print to PDF it comes out fine. If the export button is used, all dimensions, titles, text off leaders, etc. goes away. - Spencer
  23. Good Morning, I am not sure, but I do know that IronCAD Academy has them all for their learning source. I believe they use a web service called "webflow" based out of San Francisco to host and build their site and I think the images for the icons are stored on the services systems. They are saved as .svg files somewhere on there. A little rooting around and you could probably extract them from the site, but idk. I would see if they can help you out, but it may be a long shot since they might be fairly busy people, Good Luck. EDIT: I took a second to figure it out, video attached. There are probably more efficient ways, but im not a programmer haha 2021-04-12 14-11-58.mp4
  24. Hey Harley, Sometimes with more complicated shapes that give my computer a hard time I will use a sketch in 3D space like this clip: - Spencer 2021-04-08 10-01-14.mp4
