  1. I combined the input from your post with Kevin's earlier reply to arrive to the correct destination ... or words to that extent -Alex.
  2. Thanks, Tom! At least this is better than nothing. -Alex.
  3. Me! Me!!! I've been asking for if for years- see here, for example: http://www.ironcad.com/support/community/i...owtopic=845&hl= Nobody seemed to notice... -Alex
  4. I sometimes get problems with shadows (when they are not ray-traced), but have never seen anything like this
  5. OK, somebody here has to face up to the hard task of telling it like it is and it's gonna be ME !!! I don't have the Outlook on my machine! You don't have to use this I-will-open-the -door-to-every-virus piece of worthless junk either! (I said it ) I use Mozilla; there are other e-mail-calendar-etc. packages I'm sure I've never heard of. -Alex.
  6. I feel chastised and will go to my room now -Alex
  7. - "View New Posts" on the right hand side. -Alex.
  8. For Standard Views: View-Toolbars-Camera Picker -Alex.
  9. Cary, I agree - I didn't really think about this aspect of it - it's a lot easier to "backsave" a spreadsheet. Also, if the only option were to combine the shapes and loose their "intelligence", then we might as well export the parts/ass's into Parasolid/ACIS, which we can do now. Thanks, -Alex.
  10. Chris, what about having an option of saving files compatible with previous versions? For example, one can save Excel files that are compatible all the way down to Windows 3.1 version, which can be invaluable on a rare occasion. -Alex.
  11. Mine is 336 Mb AND it says it's being used "rarely"!!! -Alex
  12. You have to recreate the exact sub-directory structure form the IC's original Template directory within your custom directory and place your templates there. Apparently, IC is looking for those exact sub-directory names. -Alex.
  13. This is interesting, because one of my mice is a wireless Intellimouse Explorer on a USB port, whereas the other is a "normal" Kensington MouseWorks on PS2. I have noticed some "jitters" with the USB one, but always assumed it was because its wireless and/or optical. I don't believe it can be used with PS2 because the transmitter is powered by the USB port. Does anybody have experiece using one of those? -Alex.
  14. F8 is the most used key on my keyboard because of this! (OK, maybe F10 for triball is). -Alex
  15. Robert, this is a fantastic one - it drives me mad sometimes trying to catch the handle! How do you come up with all these great tricks?! Thanks! -Alex.
  16. Same here - was not aware of this. I'd rather have views associated, so that if I decide to change the orientation I don't have to go through every view. -Alex
  17. Yes, very annoying - please please have it fixed. -Alex
  18. Ramzi, Try closing the drawing, regenerating the part in the scene and/or switching kernel, then reopen the drawing. Also, when a drawing is in trouble hit Ctrl-Sift-b first -Alex
  19. Thanks Dave, Looks like Tom's website has changed since - there's no "Client Login" anymore. I think it's a great idea to share those components; I have a few here, too (but not this one). -Alex.
  20. Dear Fellow IronCAD-ers, Does anybody have a model of a Dual-In-Line 8 pin Op Amp package I could use? Thanks in advance, -Alex
  21. Friends, I have a general drawing notation question: I have a part that consists of 2 cylindrical shapes, one's OD is 0.003" larger than the other's. Since there are manufacturing tolerances, I need to make sure that this difference is preserved even if the absolute values of OD fluctuate. How do I properly mark it? Here's the illustration: Thanks! Alex.
  22. Completely agree - it sounds like a minor gripe, but when you have to place hundreds (and that's just me, I'm sure some people have to do 1000s) of ordinate dim's per day, it becomes too irksome. Same for the warning in Text editing tab for threads - I want to turn it OFF! (here goes a little tantrum) Alex.
  23. All this sounds to me like one more voice for the addition of unfolded modeling capabilities. Alex.
  24. As an IC user from IC3.2 on, I completely agree with Mike's last post. Please make it "as it was". Alex.
