  1. We don't have the ability to turn edges off per part but if your part is what I think it is you might be able to switch it to the Parasolid kernel and that edge along the circumference should disappear.
  2. Danny, I would start by disabling all unnecessary software from starting at bootup (You can Run: msconfig to turn off programs from starting during reboot). Then re-install Hotfix1, assuming that gets IronCAD working again, startup each program one at a time (starting IronCAD in between each one) until you find what program is stepping on the ironcad.exe. If you get all programs running again and IronCAD still works for a while then fails again later, reinstalling Windows is probably the best next step.
  3. Looks like Method 2 is busted, drop out of the Catalog doesn't work for me either. Tom, Using method 1, I'm not seeing that "Done Exporting" message. What program do you have associated with the .ai filetype? Also, are you running 9.0 PU1HF1?
  4. Hi Daniel, Did this error return after the first time you rebooted after installing PU1Hotfix1? I have seen this happen once before and the solution was restoring the PC to the previous Windows configuration before this error started happening. If that doesn't help, we really need to find out what has changed in those 2 days between the time it started working and the time the error returned. If you can think of any Windows setup changes, different programs running or newly installed, etc. Anything you can think of that has changed on the PC could help.
  5. Hi Tom, How are you putting the .ai file into the Catalog? 1) File, Insert, Object to bring the .ai file into the Scene, then drop it into a Catalog or 2) Right-click inside the Catalog, Object. Those 2 methods worked for me to save a .ai file in the attached Catalog. Let me know if you are using a different method. Test.icc
  6. Hi Tom, We don't currently have a method to import 3D data from a .dwg file. IGES is the only option.

  8. What values on the Stock are you trying to change?
  9. Hi Daniel, I would start by installing the "Product Update 1 Hotfix 1" available in the Subscriber Download section of this site. If that fails I would re-install IronCAD completely.
  10. Hello mstrengell, Regarding the crash, try Software rendering mode (Tools, Options, Rendering). Also, turn off the edited IntelliShape during edit (right-click the background during edit, select Show, "Hide edited IntelliShape). Let me know if that resolves the crashing. If not, try updating your graphics card driver. This function could definitely be improved. The problems creating fillets seems to be the function is very picky about where you drag the cursor after clicking the vertex. See the attached video, the fillets are all possible but the cursor drag location is critical. I'm going to file an Enhancement Request to ask for this to be less demanding of the cursor drag location. 3D_Curve_Fillet_Creation.zip
  11. This is definitely a graphics card issue. With my ATI Radeon (non-CAD card) at home I have the problem selecting fillet vertices in OpenGL mode, however in Software mode it works fine.
  12. Tom, Here's the results I'm getting, perhaps the problem you are seeing is graphics card related, try Software rendering. Also, the 3D Fillet works differently then the 2D Fillet in that you click, release, then drag to see the fillet preview rather then click-and-drag. If you click-and-drag it won't display the fillet. fillet.zip
  13. Tom, I haven't been able to duplicate this problem, can you send a specific example?
  14. Steve, You can send your files to support@ironcad.com or ftp://ftp.ironcad.com/upload
  15. This seems to be the simplest solution. angle2b.ics
  16. I'm told there is not, you'll have to use the Custom Properties page.
  17. Well. the way you've added the bottom of the hole as an IntelliShape taper, what are you looking for the TriBall to do?
  18. I just rotated the hole a bit and adjust it's IntelliShape Taper. angle2.ics
  19. This has not been the normal response to v9 so I would start by opening these files and using Save As to write the data to a new 9.0 file. If that doesn't help, please send a few examples to support@ironcad.com or ftp://ftp.ironcad.com/upload for me to test here. Also, it may be that the 9.0 install wasn't completely successful and reinstalling may be the fix.
  20. Thanks Mike. Daniel, If you ever want to "level" off a solid part just drop an H Block on the bottom of it. Use the TriBall's right-click Orient to Globel option to align the H Block to the world coordinates. Then you can use the sizebox handles to size up the cut.
  21. The solid Sweep command doesn't have the ability to use 2 guide curves but the Sweep Surface (Surface toolbar) command does. You use it to create each surface of the wall adding them as IntelliShapes of the surface part until it defines a closed volume and converts to a solid. Or you could just create the outside surface and use the Thicken Shape command to thicken it into a solid (right-click at the Face level and slect Create, Thicken Shape).
  22. I'm told you can dual boot Vista and Windows XP but I would recommend consulting with a Microsoft expert to make sure.
  23. This functionality only seems to work if the Parasolid kernel is set as default. I'll file a bug report for this problem under ACIS.
