I am trying to figure out how important it is to other users that Ironcad improves its ability to work directly with other software and hardware products. Examples include FEA analysis software. Solidworks, for example has many third party developers.

If it currently is not supported, what needs to be done to have it work. It seems like everyone else in the industry, even products that are much less money than Ironcad support it. Do I need to convice Ironcad or Logitech of the need? Thanks Ken

Has anyone used a spacemouse with ironcad. It does not look like it "officially" supported, but I was wondering if it would work. A spacemouse for anyone who cares is a cool "3D" mouse that you use in addtion to your standard mouse and keyboard. http://3dconnexion.com/products/Plus.htm Ken

Would it be possible for Ironcad to check an internet server everytime it was launched looking for a duplicate serial number? This seems like the most effective way of allowing the legal owners of the software to use it where ever they are.

I hope that I am not the only person who is concerned by the way Ironcad 5 is keyed to a specific machine. This punishes legal owners of the software by forcing them to put the software on one specific machine, basically forever. I for one would prefer a hardware USB key that would allow the owner to easily switch machines as needed (working from home, new computer, old computer in the shop, etc.) This key should cost less than $100. I am trying to clarify the difference between the versions. (Innovation Suite vs. IronCad vs. TeamVault) Which product will people who move up from 4.2 to 5.0 have? Ken

Just curious which version of Ironcad current users will migrate to when v5 comes out. I would hope that all of us who have been with the company since the beginning would be treated well. Ken
