Hi, I am getting more and more projects where the main building file is in Revit with the file extensions .ifc

I can't import these into IC. Is there any plan to be able to import ( and export to ) Revit files in the future? Meanwhile is there any trick I can use to import these?

Thanks

Revit is an architectural package and we are focused on the mechanical side of things so I think it is unlikely that we will do a Revit import. Can Revit export to .sat or any of the other neutral formats we import?

This might not be be the ideal scenario, request the the client to export Revit models to Inventor or .dxf and the documentation to AutoCAD formats.

Kitchen, ventilation equipment and building mechanical is being passed as standard Revit files now days.

I think we need a bridge to get Revit to IC or else IC users will be alienated and lose possible client base.

Autodesk got lucky with the purchase of Revit as originally it was not their product and AutoCAD was behind to have a BIM solution.
