tlehnhaeuser
Is there a way to select the inner volume of a closed box. In my case its a complex box with many sides so using a box select to get edges is not an option. If not please consider this an ER. t
IronKevin
A 3D Section might help you get inside the box..
Robert Andersson
you could also place a new camera inside the box and select from that camera.

When I need to check the internal volume of a shelled part, I make two copies of the part, turn the shell off of one of them and subtract the shelled volume from the unshelled part. This leaves the internal shape that you can do a volume check on. Troy
tlehnhaeuser
Thank yuo all for great ideas. I will try them. Troy, I just want to chnage the Smartpaint properties on the inner volume. Trying to get an effect for a translucent acrylic like this: http://cnhuashuaite.en.made-in-china.com/p...ylic-Sheet.html
Jonas@Solidmakarna
Hi Tom, How about CTRL ALT (SHIFT) selecting? Might be many clicks in this case though... Edit: Combined with using transparency on the part would make it easier. I use this from time to time, specially during trainings to show that it is possible. Also (kind of off topic) combined with Show hidden edges, being able to select edges through parts.
