tlehnhaeuser
My old HDRI images will be accepted by 2012. Is this by design? tom
IronKevin
What HDRI files are you referring to? Can you send examples?

IronKevin
Tom, That is a .jpg file, not a .hdr file. Please send the .hdr file. Also, what exactly do you mean buy not working? What happens? Any errors?
tlehnhaeuser
Hi Kev, Erics Jpg was able to be used as a 3D background as a HDRI image in 2011. But it along with other images cannot be selected from dialog to be used as a 3D background anymore in 2012. I have attached one from the Dosch partner CD from 2009 CD that I used to use all the time in 2011. tom MallEnvironmentLow.7z btw Erics jpg provided the ideal outdoor lighting effect in my renderings. IronKevin
Ah, I see, V2011 let you set any filetype as the 3D Background and V2012 restricts it to .hdr files (your .dosch file worked after I renamed it to .hdr). I will report this.
Guest EricFoy
btw Erics jpg provided the ideal outdoor lighting effect in my renderings. Yeah, weird, but I too have found that this particular image just seems to light scenes very well. Random magic, I guess. Tom, I have a better sample that has the correct aspect ratio, with some filling top and bottom. When I find it, I'll post it...
