tlehnhaeuser
Heres a quick tip for modeling organic shapes. Whenever possible try to a "pre-made" model of your desired part to use as a tracing part. 99% of the time you can find free models on turbosquid or other sites. If you can't find one, then try to find ortho views on the web that you can use to trace. In the attached image I am recreating a vertebrae off a free sample from Turbo squid. This is my first attempt and its going well for someone really has a hard time understanding surfacing techniques. So I may have to do this several times, becuase I find certain types of surfaces work better when I back myself into a corner. As I under more tips from doing this I let you know Cheers Tom vertebrae.7z

tlehnhaeuser
Hi Carlo, heres the file. Its a vertebrae, a bone in the human spine. Enjoy Tom Vertebrae2stripped.ics NOTE: The Issue I have with Surfacing these type of shapes is getting the transition from surface to surface to be smooth and "tangent". Right now you can clearly see where surfaces start ane end. Edited July 30, 2010 by tlehnhaeuser
