Doug Gower
If I select a part and get properties> rendering I can increase surface smoothness. Is there a way to change this permanently so I don't have to change it every part? Also worth noting... there seems to be no problem increasing this on many parts in a large assembly. Cary OConnor
Go to Tools/Options/Parts. On that dialog, you can set the default smoothness (surface smoothness) for new parts created. This will work for new parts created from shapes catalog features of sketches. Parts that are stored in a catalog dropped into the scene will maintain their setting. The performance can be noticed on regeneration, but should not be that big of an issue on most parts. Cary

cborer
Ah! Cary! That's where we need the material density! I do not give up! Best Carlo
Cary OConnor
Well the Density was more common than the change to the smoothness and that is why it has its own command to access the density Cary
