Guest damann
Hello, I have been working IRONCAD V8 with the program. Actually, I am very happy with it. With the version 11 I have very big problems. Many things in the version 10 will work well in version 11 is no longer. I use the version 11 PU1 for 64bit system on my computer. I have major problems with the graphic in IRONCAD V11 Different things are going only in OpenGL mode. IronPRO runs with V11 also no more. As a mechanical engineer, I need it to some standard bolts, bearings ... and so on must be installed. What has changed since? Since I am always with very large assemblies to work, the Programm works much too slow. In V10, I had absolutely no problems with it. In the attachements you can see the details of my computer. On my PC there are 2 systems installed. By booting to get into the 64 bit xp system and then I have 8Gigabit memory. I use the new nvidia driver 181.22 Please tell me what I am doing wrong and I will change it. Best Regards Dietmar Amann (amdi) amdi@inode.at Sorry for my bad english, i hope you understand me
IronKevin
IronPRO works with V11 on 32-bit but they don't have a 64-bit version available. Working with large assemblies should be more reliable and stable using 64-bit IronCAD. What exactly is slower, Camera Tools, part regeneration, save/open? Please be as specific as possible. If it's Camera tools (general graphics) problems, you might want to consider upgrading to an Nvidia Quadro FX card. One other thing noticed, make sure the card support running at such a high resolution (screen size).
Guest damann
Hi Kevin, in the Advanced Direct x Mode the Computer is not slow, but i cannot activate and edit 2D and 3D curves. That problem is not in The Version 10. Then I must go to the OpenGL Mode and it works very slow. I think the problem is the Camera tools (general graphics). Is the Geoforce GTX260 not a good Graphic Card? in Version10, i have no Problem with this Card. amdi
IronKevin
The Geforce cards are designed for video games, the Quadro cards are designed for CAD. The Geforce cards are necessarily bad, they just aren't nearly as good for CAD as the Quadro are.
Guest damann
Hi Kevin, wath kind of Quadro Card is the best for Ironcad? amdi
IronKevin
They are all good but range in performance from the Quadro FX 500 series up to the 5000 series. A 3700 or 4600 is probably a good choice.
Cary OConnor
If you are having an issue with the 2D Sketch mode, you need to try changing a registry setting to use the advance mode. Kevin has the details. He can post it or you can email him for the details. Cary

IronKevin
The key that forces IronCAD to stay in Advanced OpenGL mode when in Edit Cross Section mode: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IronCAD\IRONCAD 11.0\Render\2DSketchRenderer 3 = switches to OpenGL 6 = stays in Advanced
