tlehnhaeuser
Do you have the little icon in your tray and pop-up that tells you MS updates are avialble? Well heres something intersting. My IT guy said to keep updated so I have ans sytem has been working well. In recent weeks the system has really gotten slow. and din;t know the cause. Well I go to hit theta update thingy againa and notice MS has a update called WGA which basically allows MS to check your system if you OS is bootleg or not. So I hit it to see what happens. Guess what....the syteme still worked and I guess my OS is legit. Heres the observation, now my system has gaines a tremendously increase in speed again. Hah? what? Could it be that billy boy embeds a "governor" in the updates that slows your system until you install the WGA update? Don;t know for sure but its quite a coincidence don;t you think. Jonas@Solidmakarna
I have installed it but have banned it from connecting to the network with ZoneAlarm firewall. Don't know if it really stops it, but the process is not shown in the Taskmanager. Though they may not show it there anyway when it is active. Jonas@Solidmakarna
Now I see that the process IS running even after I have denied it with ZoneAlarm. I wonder what it does and if I really can deny it from connecting to MS server.
