Chris Lohman
Here's the scoop on 5.2. When 5.2 release I uploaded it to the members vault. There were so many downloads of 5.2 that it completely killed everything. We had to pull it from the download because it over taxed our hardware/pipe/everything. So that's how some of these people have 5.2. MOST of you do not. We're working on bringing 5.2 back online soon. The availability of it for download does NOT effect whether or not you will receive it. IronCAD 5.2 WILL ship to every subscriber automatically on a CD. The only reason it was made available for download was so that you could start using it before the CD arrived. It was just a nice little perk that we thought we would throw up just for fun. We never thought you guys would kill a T1 so easily
Chris Lohman
So the next question is when will the CD arrive. Here's how it works. We declare the build officially released. We send a CD to the "CD Manufacturer" who then burns a bazillion copies. This can take a couple of weeks. After the CD's are burned, they then goto the distributor who then send them out. This can take a week or more. So in all, once we "Officially Release" you can expect it to be a few weeks before the CD's arrive. International customers can expect it to take a few weeks PLUS a few additional days due to the extra time it takes to ship internationally. Notes: We do not know to whom a CD is shipped on a particular date. We are not provided tracking numbers for the shipment. So as a general rule of thumb, if the CD's do not arrive 2 months after we "officially release", then it's time to wonder if the shipment was mixed up. Armor Advantage Expiration: If you have AA when we release, you'll receive the CD: Even if your AA expires a week after we release.
dsulli
Chris, Thanks for the update. Is installing the new release to a network setup any different? We are running IC on our network. Thanks. Dave
