One guy who got downloaded IronCAD 30 dyas trial reported the installation

problem to Windows NT machine with SP 6.

He tried to install IronCAD 5.0 trial to D: drive due to limited space of

C: drive, but he got the error message as follows during installation;

"Internal error 2381. D:\program files\innovatersute\image\"

So he clicked OK, then he got the following error message;

"Error: 1603 FATAL ERRER during installation

consult windows installer help(msi,chm) or MSDN more information"

And it fails to install with the above message.

I think there maybe something trouble in the system, but if somebody has

any advice for this, pls let me know.

ERROR_INSTALL_FAILURE 1603 Fatal error during installation.

That's a microsoft generated error that of course doesn't help.

I would try in/re-installing the latest available service pack. Also insure that there are absolutely no applications running. Check the processes tab in the task manager and kill everything that isn't required by the OS. Especially insure there is no MSOFFICE.EXE lurking in the shadows. (That one gets us almost every time)

Logging the installation might help. Following is a command to create a logfile at c:\setup.log:

[pathtoCD]\Setup.exe /v"/L* C:\Setup.log"
