wfincher
Does anyone import ProE files (version 2001) into IronCAD? If so, what file types work best. Nothing seems to work. Any tips? Bill Fincher
Chris Lohman
ProE decided to encrypt their file formats after version 20. When they did this they caused all CAD programs such as IronCAD to no longer be able to import their files natively. So we can not import a native 2001 file. Something we just announced today that I believe will overcome this issue is our agreement to work with the Granite One product. The press release is here http://www.ironcad.com/innovationsuite.asp?URL=/pressroom/releases/granite.htm&Title=InnovationSuite%20Partners&Style=InnovationSuite&Tagline=InnovationSuite I have heard that ProE is able to export in a version 20 format which we would then load. Until that Granite One stuff is working the best format other than .prt we have found for exporting from ProE 2000i+ to IronCAD is Step. Increasing the part accuracy in ProE before exporting aids in the successful STP to IronCAD conversion.
