Guest ebedding
I have had to create a special view showing my detail rotated 90 deg so that I can dimension the .750 & 2.250 holes shown in the attached example. There is no "parallel to" and "perpendicular to" dimension "lock" selection that works 100% of the time. We use ordinate dimensioning. Both ends of this part are cut at an angle in addition to the view being rotated 45 deg. The ordinate dimesioning along the long axis worked but not in the other direction. Has anyone else had difficulty dimensioning angeled part views. 49313.icd 49313.icd
Alex Khenkin
One thing that might help is going into "edit view" mode and creating additional lines to use for dimensioning. This helped me in many similar situations, in particular addressing the problem of being unable to snap to a point on a b-spline. You can move the lines to "hidden annotations" layer after you're done. Does this help? Alex.
