scoelho
Has anyone tried out the new nVidia Quadro FX 4500 card with IronCAD. Is there a big difference (besides the price) between that and the older 3000 series card? -Steve
Mike Twining
Haven't tried either, but you can find a comparison here. Probably depends most on what "size" files you are workin on: the Larger the file the greater the performance difference. If you are working on small->average size models (i.e. you are not working your video card that hard), you won't be able to tell at all. If I had to guess, I would say that you won't see enough improvement in performance to justify the price (IronCAD can only use 128M of video memory anyway).
