Guest Werner Schappacher
Hallo I'm wondering how all you mechanical engineers can work with this chamfer command. Is there any trick I missed during the last releases. Until now I can only create chamfers with 2 distances. If I need a chamfer like this: 10x30°, I have to use my calculater. Normaly you have the choice between: 1. Distance1 + Distance2 2. Distance + Angle 2. Distance (Distance1 = Distance2) Werner
Guest Linas Martinenas
Hi Werner, Well , techically speaking , Ironcad does have a trick built-in. Just type in 10*TAN(PI()/6) for the shorter leg of chamfer, and there is your 10x30 deg chamfer. Not that it is a most convenient user technique, but in most other situations that built-in calculator is really handy for pretty much any place where you would need to enter a number . Guest Werner Schappacher
Hi martinenas, You are right. But as you said, it's no convenient user technique. How can I see the angle in a numbers like (2) (2,464) I like it more this way (2) (30°) Werner
