Per-Arne Almeflo
What is your best bet for a free VRML viewer that a customer or sub supplier coul use for viewing exported 3D models? Could be an Internet Explorer plug in or stand alone. It must be real handy to zoom and spin the model without getting lost in space. Corey Cooper
This one works really well. http://www.actify.com/v2/index.htm
B. Ludin
Actify's Spinfire isn't free. IMO, a good free VRML viewer which does a nice rendering job is Cortona from www.parallelgraphics.com. That's what we recommend to our customers, when we send them 3D models. Cheers, Beat
Guest dlalonde
I posted to this topic a while back.... Still like to use this as it allows sharing of camera controls and works even for folks with dial-up connection. dsulli
I've always liked the Acis viewer - excellent pan, zoom, and coloring, but no markup ability.
don_temple
I also direct my clients to the Cortona viewer at http://www.parallelgraphics.com/ but don't use the automatic install. Download it manually and use the"CAD like" skin for simple, familiar navigation of your model. (the active-x install lacks the CAD skin) Injection mold, jig and fixture design. www.QuickCAD.biz
