Jeff Myler
Hello I'm trying to figure out how to create a part that has V-grooved miter cuts that I can fold and unfold like sheet metal. For example, if I wanted to create a miter folded cabinet box out of 3/4" thick MDF board with an open top like shown, what is method that can be folded and unfolded? I started with a sheet metal part, unfolded it, and then dragged intellishape blocks onto sheet metal part, and then chamfered the blocks. When I attempt to fold it back up, those blocks and chamfers disappear. I would need to leave some material when V-grooving and have slight gap to fold and unfold I believed. Perhaps there is an easy method you could share with me? Help appreciated, thanks, Jeff Edited April 2 by Jeff Myler
