Stefan_S
Hello, a subsidiary of our company is currently using creo as cad software and they are considering a change to IC. Importing their part files into IC works fine but what to do about the drw files? I don't know of any software that can handle native (generated views) drawings of another cad software. Maybe there's a way converting the files to i.e. dwg to maintinain some functionality? Any input is appreciated. Thanks, Stefan
Cary OConnor
Hi, I do agree there may be some way to create a DWG but I doubt any view association would be maintained. The views could be generated from a number of different scene states which may be completely different from IronCAD so we would not be able to do a 1 to 1 match. Usually customers keep their reference files from older projects and start new with IC for new projects. So the issue becomes less of a concern.
