Eds
This is probably a question for the staff, unless anyone has had the same problem. I am trying to update my 2022 PU1 SP1 to hotfix 1 but the launcher would not launch. After some digging, the downloaded hotfix exe extracts the files to the windows temp folder, but the IronCADDCSSetup.exe would not launch. Event viewer is showing error with KernelBase.dll and .net 4.0, while windbg shows error with ntdll.dll. So since the update seems to just be a bunch of dll files and EXEs, is it possible to just copy/replace those files to the application folder and update the registry manually? IronKevin
If you can extract the files, copying to the IronCAD bin folder should be fine. I’m not aware of any Registry changes needed.
Eds
Thanks Kevin, I'll give it a shot tomorrow. There is a registry file named CustomAction something. It's seems to mostly update the product name in the registry. I swear if you guys come up with a linux version I'll shell out money from my own pocket to upgrade. Forced windows upgrades are not always the best to deal with.
