  1. Thanks SSIMMONS, is this only available in 2023? I'm still on 2022 and could select the 3d line by itself.
  2. Aside from using ICMech, are there any ways to create a sizebox-resizable dashed line in the 3d scene, in the style of exploded view lines? I have tried using a 2d sketch to create the dashed lines, which worked fine but the length can't be adjusted without editing the sketch directly. 3d curve doesn't seem to have an option to view it as dashed lines. Any ideas?
  3. Thanks Kevin, I'll give it a shot tomorrow. There is a registry file named CustomAction something. It's seems to mostly update the product name in the registry. I swear if you guys come up with a linux version I'll shell out money from my own pocket to upgrade. Forced windows upgrades are not always the best to deal with.
  4. This is probably a question for the staff, unless anyone has had the same problem. I am trying to update my 2022 PU1 SP1 to hotfix 1 but the launcher would not launch. After some digging, the downloaded hotfix exe extracts the files to the windows temp folder, but the IronCADDCSSetup.exe would not launch. Event viewer is showing error with KernelBase.dll and .net 4.0, while windbg shows error with ntdll.dll. So since the update seems to just be a bunch of dll files and EXEs, is it possible to just copy/replace those files to the application folder and update the registry manually?
  5. Guess it's a bug then. Thanks for testing and the tip
  6. I was trying to see if I could edit the guide curve for a spring, but right clicking it crashes IC. Could anyone help see if this is a problem with my system or is actually a bug? spring.ics
  7. Did this with a boolean remove/subtract back in Solidworks.
  8. Just to let people know: Had a similar problem just now, for me it was that i could not make a drawing view at all, unless I was in administrator mode. The UI reset worked for me.
  9. I'm using 2022 with Parasolid. I'm also using a GTX card because I don't do renderings much and... the current chip shortage makes GPU prices insane. But setting the section to precise mode worked, thanks Kevin.
  10. When I'm trying to section a helix (spring), I found out the result kind of breaks the view. Is this an IC issue or perhaps a driver issue?
  11. 2021, I haven't gotten around to installing 2022 yet, but I'll have a look later on. Edit: happens in 2020 too.
  12. I'm following the video in the IronCad Academy website for making threads, and it is mentioned that the sketch is in the positive XY direction. Following that instruction gave me malformed threads instead, while shifting the Y to the negative gave me correct threads. Is there a specific position that the sketch needs to be in?
  13. Rather than a Mac, I would prefer linux support - though it's even more of a pipe dream. I tried installing it via WINE, and the installer actually worked, but ran into some errors with some binaries? and could not complete the installation. Making it work via WINE will just about make it work with Mac OS, though probably not the M1 macs.
  14. Is there a way for smart dimensions to show up in parameter tables, or is it not a recommended method? Coming from a 2D only background, I'm just starting to learn to use parameters in IC. Basically I'm trying to make a flange with parameters to drive the bolt hole circle diameter. It doesn't show up in the parameter tables, probably because it is not associated with a part/feature?
  15. There was no issue - I simply forgot to suppress the thread profile, so it showed up in the drawing...
