What does the IronCAD Synergy Platform Mean for IronCAD Users?

As you may have seen, IronCAD released the IronCAD Synergy Collaboration Platform on July 13th, and I'm sure now you are wondering, what does this mean for you, the IRONCAD or INOVATE user? The best way to answer that question is by simply breaking down the current offerings of the Synergy Platform into two categories:

1. Cloud-based platform for working with team members to share, view, configure data. 
2. Data management offering for IRONCAD/INOVATE to create versions/revisions of your IRONCAD/INOVATE designs. 

The platform is offered free to all IRONCAD/INOVATE active support users (AA/SS) with 10GB of free storage data per company until July 2022. Starting July 2022, each user will have to purchase a license however, IRONCAD/INOVATE active support users will receive a 50% discount on the list price. Additional users or non-support users licenses will be charged the list price to be able to access the system. For pricing information, please contact your local certified IronCAD resellers for details and offers. 

Each company will have a single company account and an administrator user in which the can then start to add user accounts and access roles to the system. Detailed instructions can be found at https://synergyhelp.ironcad.com/article/how-to-create-a-user-account. 

Once you have access as a user, you can start to add data to the system. To make it simple:

1. Unmanaged Documents - This folder is used for sharing, viewing, and configuration with your company. These files are not versioned/revisioned and are used for quick collaboration. The Company Folder is for all users in your company to view. Public folders are for all users in the global network of the Synergy Platform to access. Lastly, the Private Folder is for only your user account to access. 
2. Managed Documents - This folder is used for storing and working on versions and revisions of files. For IRONCAD/INOVATE users, there is an IronCAD Synergy Vault Client installation that allows direct communication with the platform.
